
Wine, Dine, Good Times Music Series
Jazz up your after-work Thursdays with chill out sessions at Clarke Quay’s very own Wine, Dine, Good Times Music Series. Starting from March 2010 onwards, it will be held every first Thursday of the Month from 7.30pm to 10pm at Central Square, Clarke Quay.
To kick off the series in March and in conjunction with Clarke Quay’s Anniversary, Clarke Quay presents, an evening of smooth Jazz with a power packed line-up on 4 March. Smooth Jazz Thursday promises a night of musical bliss accompanied by scrumptious offerings, ambient alfresco dining or simply a sexy cocktail around Clarke Quay under the kaleidoscope of colourful canopies.
On 1 April, there will be another exciting line-up of must-see performances featuring Richard Jackson and home-grown talent, Alemay Fernades. Finally, rounding up the contemporary jazz line-ups in May, fans of contemporary pop jazz will be treated to a variety of the best of regional jazz, which include the likes of Ruth Ling – the all-rounded talented singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, arranger, producer, Mellow Motif featuring Natasha P, Thailand’s popular acoustic jazz/Latin quartet.

Anne Weerapass
Backed with experience of working with top international stars such as Ronan Keating and Regine Velasquez, Anne is well-versed in a wide repertoire of music genres, covering contemporary jazz standards, R&B, hip-hop, acid jazz, Top 40s, pop, retro and classics. Dynamic and versatile in nature, Anne is adept at striking a lively rapport with the audience, be it a lounge full of jazz enthusiasts, a crowded dance floor of teens or a bar full of retro music fans.

Dylan Foster
An accomplished vocalist and multi instrumentalist, his musical influences include jazz, soul, R&B and pop. Apart from sharing the stage with some of Australia, Asia and Europe’s most respected artistes and performers, he has also fronted some of London’s most established big bands at venues including The Royal Albert Hall, Alexandra Palace, The Savoy, The Ritz, The Dorcester and Grosvenor House. Amongst his many achievements is his role as a key member of one of the world’s most famous a-cappella groups, Flying Pickets.
Clinton Carnegie & the Vicious
Active on the Singapore music scene for the past 15 years, Clinton Carnegie is a performing musician as well as a session guitarist, composer and arranger for some of the top producers in the region. A Sony Planet MG artiste, Clinton Carnegie released an instrumental jazz/fusion CD entitled ‘Say What You Mean’ that featured an all-original composition in 1998.

Vocaluptuous
Selected to sing the national anthem a cappella style for the National Day Parade in 2009, Vocaluptuous has not only recorded songs in several compilation albums, but also released their first solo recording project ‘All Wrapped Up’. This debut album was so well received that EMI signed a 3-year distribution deal (recently renewed for another 3 years) to market it in Singapore, while Fiesto Groups, Inc (USA) and The Hello Dee Music Group USA did the same for distribution in Asia, Europe and USA.

Richard Jackson
Being compared to the legends Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Barry White and Ronald Isley kept Richard’s passion for singing burning bright and pursuit of his dream strong. Richard has worked in the company of many in the industry such as Chris Jasper Isley, Midnight Star, competitive I opening for artist, Peabo Bryson, Tuck and Patti, Regina Belle and countless others. He has developed a very unique and well respected craft, as a vocalist and writer and arranger.
Alemay Fernandes
Staying true to her passion, Alemay started off with a humble beginning in her neighbourhood parish choir. Since then, she has gone on to sing on the soundtrack for local movie Chicken Rice War as well as the theme song for local TV series Spin. Besides that, she has made special appearances for a myriad of functions including Upper Club New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner 2005 where she sang with Bobby Soul formerly from legendary soul group The Platters and Concert In the Park’s 10th Birthday Bash with Jeremy Monteiro, Eldee Young and Jacintha. She was also a guest performer for Kumar’s Valentine’s Day Concerts 2004/5 and performed with Dick Lee at a number of his shows including the AdAsia Congress in Jaipur, India as well as his 30th Anniversary concert at the Kallang Theatre last year.

Ruth Ling
Graduated from the prestigious Berklee Music of College, Ruth brought back her self-produced debut album, How Can I Not and a ‘live’ recording, Live, Unplugged at BCEC. As a musician, she has toured with overseas artists such as Stefanie Sun, Sally Yeh (HK), Eric Moo (M’sia) and Saraa (Mongolia) and recorded for A*mei, S.H.E. and Penny Dai. Aside from having her songs and arrangements on the albums of Sandy Lam, Edison Chen, Jordan Chan and Denise Ho, Ruth has also music directed concerts for Taiwanese artists Wan Fang, Yu Tai Yan and Yin Zhen Yang.

Mellow Motif featuring Natasha P
A signature crystal clear voice with a unique style that can adapt to the genre of music sung, Natasha P perfect English and wide range of repertoire ranges from traditional Swing, Brazilian Latin music to Musical Theatre. After Natasha and Mellow Motif released their first album under Warner Music Group (Thailand), Natasha has become more present in Bangkok’s jazz scene performing with Mellow Motif at many large music festivals, events, and concert series such as Hua-Hin International Jazz Festival (2009), Melody of Life (2009), Singha Summer Groove (2009), La Fete de la Musique (2009) by the French Embassy of Thailand, and more.

Jazzedelics
The newest and coolest musical group in Singapore, Jazzedelics is a group of cutting edge musicians and cool “revolutionaries” of the amalgamation of soul, jazz, funk and house. Creatively incorporating electronic DJing with live instrumentation and mixing a variety of seemingly incongruent musical styles into a unique, singular sound, Jazzedelics is proficient in using this sound as a backdrop for positive lyrical themes of unity, empowerment and universalism.
