TongKang Colonial Bar & Restaurant
Taste of the True Singapore Flavour
Indulge in a taste of true Singaporean heritage, feast with your eyes and more as you enter the modern yet oriental mystique and charm of the TongKang's architectural splendour.
As you step foot onto the only 2 bumboats left in Singapore, commonly known as tongkangs (traditional Far East carriers of light goods), you'll be reminded of the Island's past heritage as an entrepôt, founded by Sir Stamford Raffles and built up through the toil of the immigrants.
The TongKangs serves a selection of Colonial inspired dishes like Old English Lamb and Kidney Pie, Oxtail Stew with Potatoes & Carrots and signature Oven Roasted Beef Tenderloin. In the lazy afternoons, High Tea is served on tiered tea stands, presenting guests with an indulgence of flavoured teas, pies, scones and petit fours. Dinner is TongKang's special Rotisserie Wagon serving slow-cooked Oven Roasted Black Angus Prime Ribs takes centre stage, accompanied with rich gravy and Yorkshire pudding on the side.
As dusk falls and twinkling lights appear by the riverside, the cool, night air spells magic as silhouettes and shadows interplay with the lights of Clarke Quay which is bustling with life and entertainment. These wonderful vessels are ideal for an enchanting evening filled with romance, birthday parties, cocktail dinner parties, corporate days out or just good fun days on the water with your friends...
